Langtang Valley is close to the capital city of Nepal i.e. Kathmandu and aptly called as glaciers’ valley. Here, high mountains rise to soar towards the sky. Local people of the region are mostly from Tibetan origin. According to a legend, Lama, a Tibetan Buddhism priest discovered the valley and he pursued a runaway yak. Lang in Tibet language implies lama and tang means follow. In this way, the valley obtained its name as Langtang Valley.

Langtang Valley provides swift mountain streams, pine forests, snowcapped mountain peaks, rugged rocks, grassy strew of meadows combined with daises and various wild animals. Moreover, its upper part has snow ridges spanning high passes covered in tiny lakes of glaciated giant mountains and crystalline brightness. Langtang Valley offers many things to nature lovers. Here, you may view flowers and birds of during spring season and simultaneously, perform your trek moderate climbing excursions and get panoramic views of glaciers.

Mount Langtang Lirung is responsible to dominate the entire Langtang Valley and it provides swift mountain streams, fine forests, rugged rocks, grassy areas, snowcapped mountain peaks and plenty of meadows. Other than this, you will visit the Langtang National park set up in the year 1976 and it is the first and the famous Himalayan National Park. Here, you will find green forests consisting of sub-alpine and pine trees, while varieties of wild animals, such as monkeys, birds, serows, Ghoral and snow leopards.
