Langtang Valley is close to the capital city of Nepal i.e. Kathmandu and aptly called as glaciers’ valley. Here, high mountains rise to soar towards the sky. Local people of the region are mostly from Tibetan origin. According to a legend, Lama, a Tibetan Buddhism priest discovered the valley and he pursued a runaway yak. Lang in Tibet language implies lama and tang means follow. In this way, the valley obtained its name as Langtang Valley.
Langtang Valley provides swift mountain streams, pine forests, snowcapped mountain peaks, rugged rocks, grassy strew of meadows combined with daises and various wild animals.
