Adjacent to Kathmandu's convention center and not far from the airport, the Hotel Everest provides some of the best mountain views of any hotel in the city. A recent renovation has given the guest rooms new carpets, silk curtains, and a vaguely neo-Italianate look. Maybe not what you were expecting in Nepal but pleasant enough.
