Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park (area: 932 sq. km.), established in 1973 as the first national park in Nepal, is one of the finest wildlife experiences in Asia. There you can find many different vegetation types such as: sal forest, riverine forest, grassland and mixed forest of sal and pine with many ox-bow lakes, rivers and streams. These diverse habitats attract a myriad of creatures including one horned rhino, tiger, leopard, gaur bison, marsh mugger & gharial crocodile as well as more than 500 species of birds.

The Park was recognized world wide when it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984 by UNESCO.

Elephant Safari
This is the most popular activity as big mammals like rhino leopard deer can be viewed safly at close proximity from the back of the elephant. You could also view crocodiles when your elephant crosses a river and also many colorful birds while walking through dense natural jungle.

Canoeing Trip
Traditionally made dug-out canoe takes you through calm Rapti River where you could view many species of exciting water birds and crocodile.

Nature walk
The most exciting activity here is the jungle walk. Your professional guide takes you through high grass jungle and riverside, streams and around ox-bow lakes where you could see many birds, butterflies, reptiles and mammals.

Jungle Drive
Jeep drive is another popualr jungle activity where you can enjoy viewing many different locations in shorter span of time. The jeep takes you from Sauraha to Kasara the parks headquarters, through the dirt road in the jungle. In Kasara you can visit the famous Crocodile Breeding Center and the Park's museum. Because of the river depth during the monsoon, jeep drives are avaiable only from December to March or April (Climate depending).

Bird Watching
There are more than and amazing 500 species of birds in the Park, that can be seen in many exciting location river, grassland and the forests. Our bird experts can take you to the appropriate bird watching sites where you could see a wide variety from a safe view point.

Elephant Bath
It is a unique experience to take a bath with an elephant in the Rapti River! You might even find yourself taking a surprise shower from an elephant's trunk while you are riding on its back.
