Expedition in Tibet
Expedition in Tibet

There are only three major peaks in Tibet, which the Tibet Mountaineering Department has given permission for climbing. According to the Buddhist Philosophy, every mountain is sacred should not be touched by human feet and one of these mountains is Everest, which can also be climbed from the Nepal side, the other two are Cho-Oyu (8201m) and Shisha Pangma (8153m). Neither of these giants are technically difficult but any mountain over 8000 meters (only 14 in the World) demands the greatest respect and those participating in either of these climbing programs will need to be of a high standard of fitness. In recent years, Tibet has been more and more become home of adventure travelers. Besides the following expedition routes, we have many other routes unlisted and trekking in Mt. Shi-Shapanma area, etc. You are always welcome to contact us for more details.Organizing an expedition in Tibet calls for a great deal of experience supported by a team of highly experienced climbing crew as well as administrative staff, state-of-the-art equipment. Welcome Nepal Treks has it all.

We have operated nearly hundred expeditions to 7000 – 8000 meter Himalayan peaks in the last 10 years including several successful Everest expeditions and innumerable climbs of smaller (5000 – 6500 meter) peaks throughout entire Himalayan range. Our first hand knowledge about Himalayas and series of successful mountaineering expedition achievement has qualified us to be the most reliable local agency for over two dozens of mountaineering companies & clubs around the world. After mankind conquered both the Antarctic and Arctic in the 20th century, explorers turned their attention to the Tibetan Plateau. For millennia this land of majestic mountains was shrouded in mystery and beyond the reach of most aspiring mountaineers. There are many Himalayan peaks having more than 6000m. above in Tibet side among them the most popular are Everest 8848, Cho-oyu, Shishapangma, Lakpa Ri and Gurlamandata. These are all allowed for foreigners to climb. Yala Adventure provides all kind of arrangements to climb these peaks including climbing permission from China Mountaineering association and the requirements of Yaks for carrying loads for expedition, guides, Cooks, Liaison officer, etc and customs clearance facilities

Lhakpa Ri is a superb objective which should appeal to climbers looking for a 7,000m summit in a famous location.
