Everest High Pass Trekking
Everest High Pass Trekking

The trek to Everest region is one of the most famous trips in the world, which takes you into the heart of the Nepalese Himalaya, with awe-inspiring views of many of the world's highest and most beautiful mountains. This spectacular trek will more than satisfy the ambitious trekker keen on crossing high passes without the commitment of any technical climbing. Heading towards Everest we cross the Kongma La to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. After observing the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest we complete a spectacular traverse over the Cho La to the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo. From Gokyo Ri we gain further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La to the wild upper Bhote Kosi. During our time in this remote region we have the opportunity to attempt a number of non-technical routes on peaks that are well within the capabilities of the fit and experienced trekker – before returning to Kathmandu. Much of the joy of this spectacular trek is getting to know the Sherpa people, visiting Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and lively trailside teahouses, sipping homemade chang (beer made from barley) with new-found friends, and learning how Tibetan Buddhism influences every aspect of Sherpa life.
